Storytelling is one way to recreate the representation of LGBTQ people by helping queer people learn more about their community, straight people learn more about their neighbors, and everyone learn more about themselves. Likewise, their stories are diverse and their need for acceptance and understanding requires that everyone think beyond stereotypes. They know they must find a way to be together, but how will they get the courage to escape Mandy’s marriage, the church, and Kathleen’s powerful family.īrooklyn, New York– Lesbian, bisexeual, gay, transgender, and queer people come from all over.
