More than just sex, it’s also about how the power of love overcomes the obstacles that face you in life. This is such a passionate romance story and one of the better books I have read in this genre. The scene where Alex is about to give birth. Loved the dialogue – the wit and humor is just so English!!! And fabulous. The love, support and acceptance by both family members was really touching and very lovely. The family dynamic was another part of the story that I really liked. I liked that the relationship developed over a time and not immediately. I loved the sexual tension build-up and the love scenes were absolutely passionate, sexy and well-written and so believable. And both have to deal with the fear of not surviving and ultimately wanting to live.

Maggie has a lot of things to overcome – the attraction she feels for Alex and has been trying for years to deny. She’s engaging, endearing and totally sexy. She’s comfortable with who she is and how hard she tries to handle her feelings for Maggie.

Alex’s strength, courage and never giving up were truly awesome. I loved the development of Maggie and Alex’s relationship. Thrown together again to work on an investigation, they are forced by circumstances to spend two weeks with each other in a cabin surrounded by snow and miles away from anywhere after their aircraft crashes and the pilot is killed. They are total opposites – Alex is stubborn and will bend the rules whilst Maggie does everything by the book. Now, in the middle of a blizzard, they have to try to survive.and fight the feelings that refuse to die.A beautiful love story that’s brilliantly written, with incredible characters and a unique plot.ĭetective Inspectors Maggie & Alex have a long not so great history together, which has led to bad feelings between the two for the last three years. Their assignment is simple, but a plane crash gets in their way. Three years later, fate brings them together again. Unexpectedly, their dynamics mesh, but when her feelings for Alex become stronger than she wants to admit, Maggie provokes the worst in Alex to ensure they will never be partners again. She believes that rule books were written for a reason. Maggie Campbell has a slightly different approach. Intelligent, perceptive, and at times disobedient, Alex Blake does what she believes it takes to do her job. While their goal is the same, their work ethics are not. Ice begins when a boy is kidnapped from a London park and Detective Inspectors Alex Blake and Maggie Campbell are brought together to work on the case. **Finalist in the 2015 National Indie Excellence Book Awards for LGBT Fiction** **Winner of the Gold Medal in the 2014 Global Ebook Awards in Gay / Lesbian / LGBT Fiction**
